Customize Look-and-Feel

WorldTime Clock can be easily customized to exactly match your taste.
You can define colors of your own or apply WinAmp 2 Skins to the Clock Display.

In order to customize the Clock Display:

Please select one of the customization options below or read through all of them:

Time Customization

Select the Time tab to view and change Time display properties:

  • Background color selection control specifies Clock background color. Click on the drop-down arrow to change background color.

  • Use Windows Font checkbox specifies whether you want to display Time with the default Windows font, or configure custom settings.
    When Use Windows Font is unchecked, you will get access to the font configuration control. Othersize it is disabled.
    Once you change any font setting, the TIME test area will be appropriately updated

  • Use Time Format drop-down list to specifies the format for Time.
    The combobox contains list of the most common formats, but you may also type in your personalized time format.

  • Color and Font Test Area dinamycally changes, when you customize Clock Display, so you can immediately see it, before applying these changes.
    Test area contains three sections: TIME, DATE & NAME.

Date Customization

Select the Date tab to view and change Date display properties:

  • Show Date checkbox specifies whether the Date will be displayed along with Time.
    When Show Date is not displayed, the date is displayed on the Clock Display Tip

  • Use Time Font checkbox specifies whether you want to display Date with the font set for Time display, or configure different settings.
    When Use Time Font is unchecked, you will get access to the font configuration control. Othersize it is disabled.
    Once you change any font setting, the DATE test area will be appropriately updated

  • Use Date Format drop-down list to specifies the format for Date.
    The combobox contains list of the most common formats, but you may also type in your personalized date format.

Clock Name Customization

Select the Clock Name tab to view and change Clock Name display properties:

  • Show Clock Name checkbox specifies whether the Clock Name will be displayed along with Time and Date.
    When Show Clock Name is not displayed, clock name is displayed on the Clock Display Tip

  • Use Time Font checkbox specifies whether you want to display Clock Name with the font set for Time display, or configure different settings.
    When Use Time Font is unchecked, you will get access to the font configuration control. Othersize it is disabled.
    Once you change any font setting, the NAME test area will be appropriately updated

Customize with WinAmp 2 Skins

You can apply a WinAmp 2 Skin to the Clock Display and WorldTime Clock will have the same look-and-feel as WinAmp 2 and your other programs, supporting WinAmp 2 Skins.

Select the Skin tab to view and change WinAmp 2 Skin display properties:

  • Use WinAmp Skin checkbox specifies whether you want to display Clock using WinAmp 2 Skin.
    When Use WinAmp Skin is checked, you will get access to skin selection controls. Othersize these are disabled

  • Skin File edit box specifies full path and name of the WinAmp 2 Skin file with extension(.wsz)

  • You can type full path and file name into a Skin File edit box; or

  • Click the [...] (Select) button to open a system File Open dialog
    Navigate to the folder with WinAmp Skins. Usually it is a Skins subfolder in the WinAmp home folder
    Select the Skin file you would like to use for Clock Display

Location Flag Customization

In order to visually distinguish and personlize each location you can display country flag on the Clock Display.
Please note that it is required to select Location, not the Timezone, when you configure Clock

Select the Flag tab to view and change Location Flag display properties:

  • Show Location Flag checkbox specifies whether location Flag will be displayed on the clock display.
    When Show Location Flag is checked, you will get access to flag configuration controls. Othersize these are disabled

  • Use Flag Size combobox to specify size of the flag on the clock display:
    Small flag requires 1 text line, it's suitable for time-only clocks
    Big flag requires 2 text lines, it's suitable for multi-line clocks

  • Use Flag Position combobox to specify flag alignment on the Clock Display: On Left, In Center or On Right

Font Customization Control

Following properties are available to describe custom font:

Color Selection Control

Color selection controls are implemented similarly to Microsoft Office color boxes dropping down from the color field:

  • Click the drop-down arrow of the color selection control to open the list of default colors.
    The last selected Color is always displayed with pushed style

  • Click on the color you would like to select.
    Please note that corresponding test area reflects your choise of the color as you hover mouse over the color box, so you may see the effect immediately

  • You may select the Automatic color, if you want to select Windows default color for Text or Background

  • Click the More Colours... button if you need to select a custom color not presented in the color box by default.

Color Dialog

The standard Color selection dialog helps you selecting custom colors:

  • Select the standard color you want to use from the list of Basic Colors and click OK button

  • Define the Custom Color dragging the cross-hairs on the rainbow field

  • Click the Add to Custom Colors button if you want to save selected color into your Custom Colors list.
    You may save up to 16 Custom Colors in this list

Time Format Specification

The format must be defined as follows:

h/hh

Display Hours in 12 hrs format without or with leading zero

H/HH

Display Hours in 24 hrs format without or with leading zero

m(M)/mm(MM)

Display Minutes without or with leading zero

s(S)/ss(SS)

Display Seconds without or with leading zero

t/T

Display am/pm (AM/PM) symbols

All other characters are displayed without any modification.

Predefined formats are:

Date Format Specification

The format must be defined as follows:

Display Day without or with leading zero

Display short and full Weekday name

M/MM

Display Month without or with leading zero

MMM/MMMM

Display short and full Month name

yy/yyyy

Display Year in short and long format

All other characters are displayed without any modification.
